Bad Ems is nestled between the Taunus and the Westerwald, on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Lahn River.

Many impressive spa houses from the Baroque era, such as the former "Fürstliche Nassau-Oranische Badehaus" (built 1711-1715) and the present-day "Häcker’s Grand Hotel," made Bad Ems one of the most famous spas in Europe early on. Part of the historical buildings is still predominantly preserved in its original state.

Incidentally, Bad Ems is home to Germany's oldest casino. Just as in the past, many guests visit the inviting wellness town on the Lahn today to relax at the springs located directly in the buildings and in the enchanting surroundings. Enjoy a magnificent view of the Lahn Valley during an excursion on the Kurwaldbahn to the Bismarckhöhe.
