Golden sauna rules
Dear guests,
our sauna area is a nude bathing area according to the German sauna regulations for hygiene. Both in the steam baths and in all saunas, you should take off your swimwear and use the wellness towels provided for this purpose as a cover and as a seat pad. We have listed a few useful tips for inexperienced sauna-user:
a) Do not go to the sauna hungry or on a full stomach.
b) First, clean yourself in the shower, because "clean" skin sweats better.
c) In the sauna, put your towel under your whole body.
d) The sauna session should last about 15 minutes. Rely on your feeling. You should sit for the last two minutes so that your circulation gets used to the upright posture.
e) After the sauna, you should treat your body to some oxygen and go out into the fresh air. The cooling should begin carefully and at the feet (a point which is farthest from the heart). Then you should treat yourself to a short break, this promotes recovery. There should be around 20 minutes between each sauna session.
f) Drink plenty of water, tea or juice spritzers as your body loses a lot of fluids in the sauna.
Advantages of a regular sauna visit:
-Improved immune system functions of the body and protection against infections, strengthening of the cardiovascular system, good skin cleansing, relaxation and recovery as well as balancing effects on blood pressure
When do I avoid the sauna?
-in case of infections, especially fever; with severe vascular changes, especially in the heart and brain; with inflammation of internal organs or phlebitis; with acute rheumatism, epilepsy and cancer.
